Arts & Entertainment

We're all about that work-life balance and to keep it in check, we've got plenty to help you laugh, unwind, cheer and enjoy. Manchester has fast become a first-rate entertainment hub in the northeast, playing host to the coolest concerts, top acts and biggest events. We've got classy theatrical performances and highly-charged sporting events. The Palace Theatre sits mere blocks from the Verizon Wireless Arena, while our riverfront baseball stadium overlooks a vibrant and bustling downtown. We work hard in Manchester, but we have an awful lot of fun, too.

Verizon Wireless Arena
Offering locals access to international acts and performers, the Verizon Wireless Arena brings the big-time to Manchester. Seating over 10,000 at sporting events and over 11,000 at concerts, the Verizon has hosted the Boston Celtics, Elton John, Aerosmith, Cher, Rod Stewart, Justin Timberlake and Toby Keith - all in the heart of downtown Manchester. Meanwhile, the Manchester Monarchs, the American Hockey League affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, call the Verizon Wireless Arena home, as do the Wolves, our very own Arena Football2 team.

The Palace Theatre
An 865-seat historic theatre set in downtown Manchester, The Palace hosts its own professional company, youth and teen program and presenting acts. Presenting the annual Jazz and Blues Festival, producing well-known Broadway standards and offering top-notch musical performances and touring acts, The Palace Theatre brings a touch of class to all it does.

Currier Museum of Art
The Currier is an internationally renowned art museum located right here in Manchester. The Currier features European and American paintings, decorative arts, photographs and sculpture, including works by Picasso, Monet, O'Keeffe, and Wyeth, with exhibitions, tours, and performances year-round. The museum also owns Frank Lloyd Wright's Zimmerman House, the only residence in New England designed by the acclaimed American architect and open to the public. The Museum Shop features unique gifts from around the world.
