Volunteer Opportunities at 2011 WCCC
The International Chili Society and the City of Manchester have partnered with three local non-profit organizations; New Horizons, Families in Transition and the YMCA of Greater Manchester for the 2011 WCCC. Each organization will receive a portion of tickets sales and in return will provide day of event volunteers. Last year more than $20,000 was donated to participating charities.
How can I help volunteer?
Each non-profit organization is responsible for recruiting volunteers for one day of the event. Below you will find which non-profit is responsible for which day of the event and who you can contact to help volunteer. There are multiple tasks needed each day. Volunteers are able to sign up for multiple shifts. You must be older than 14 years old to volunteer.
What do I get for volunteering?
Each volunteer will receive a Chili Cookoff Volunteer T-shirt and one ticket to the event. All volunteers are asked to park at Victory Garage. In order to receive free parking, volunteers will just need to show their t-shirt to the parking official when they exit the garage after their volunteer shift.
